City Profile: Tofino (September 2016)

My boyfriend and I recently went to Tofino, and although we only stayed for one night, it was a really enjoyable trip. Tofino is the surf capital of Canada, and was voted the best surf town of North America in 2010. Although it was gloomy when we were there, it didn’t take away from the pretty beach views and the chill surf town vibe. There were also many tours available, such as bear and whale watching. We stayed at the HI Tofino Hostel, which was an average hostel with an incredible view, situated right on the harbour. For breakfast, we went to the Rhino Coffee House, which had good breakfast sandwiches, wraps, lattes and homemade donuts. They’re also vegan friendly! After breakfast, we wandered around town and visited local shops, then spent a few hours at the beach.  I don’t regret not surfing, since we didn’t have much time in Tofino, but next time I will definitely be renting a surf board. Tofino, we will be back! img_8327
